We’re searching for a dynamic professional to plant their roots with us as our newest Director, IT Service Delivery and Operations. This individual reports to the Executive Vice President, Information Technology and is responsible for the assigned portfolio, ensuring solutions and deliverables meet business needs of the organization. They work closely with the organization as a trusted business partner.


They are comfortable having “art of the possible” discussions with stakeholders to effectively propose roadmaps and solutions that are fit for purpose to deliver true value.  


They have proven leadership experience in the assigned portfolio to create a vision and strategy for the team and drive outcomes in a practical manner.


This role is instrumental in transforming how the organization works to drive value for our patients, business stakeholders and employees. A key part of this will be leveraging deep content knowledge coupled with business acumen to deploy solutions effectively and efficiently.

 

As the Director IT Service Delivery and Operations you will…

  • Provide end to end ownership of ERP Enterprise Supply Chain. This would include (but not limited to) Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, Logistics, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Analytics.
  • Provide Global IT Operations includes monitoring, business support, ServiceNow management/optimization, core application uptime, user experience and lifecycle management.
  • Provide end to end owner of infrastructure throughout the organization, this includes operational execution and strategic roadmap.
  • Provide technical integrations including enterprise ERP, operational and continuous monitoring.
  • Understand user application security management 
  • Effectively managing expansive SOX Compliance requirements and cadence.
  • Effectively manage and maintain a PCI-DSS card holder data environment.
  • Manage a multimillion-dollar budget with stakeholders (Opex/Capex). 
  • Concentrating on process management and optimization within the portfolio. 
  • Own the portfolio strategy and lead a team of high performing project leads, business analysts, developers, testers and change management resources.
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and train the team with a view to value creation that is directly linked to business outcomes.
  • Lead and collaborate with Business Stakeholders on key deliverables to support their priorities and appropriately manage the risk to the business. 
  • Strategy and execution plan to deploy a global footprint in a Cloud/SAAS environment while standardizing a Global/Local business need.
  • Work with key stakeholders to operationalize the cyber security strategy ensuring Aurora is secure, globally.
  • Understand current solution capabilities and drive a deployment roadmap that will deliver business value while reducing Total Cost of Ownership of applications.
  • Drive industry best practice improvements to standardize, simplify and improve business workflow, transactional execution, and innovation.
  • Oversees or conducts performance planning and review, coaching, recruiting, disciplinary actions, and initiates salary actions for their staff. 
  • Develops IT staff capabilities and skills by defining attainable career goals, developing formal and informal training programs and providing proper on-the-job instruction and knowledge transfer from consultants and other IT department team members.
  • With input from key stakeholders create and execute the IT strategy for Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Oversees key projects and development efforts to ensure a high-quality and efficient execution of the project from definition, planning, system design, solution development, testing, documentation, implementation, and solution validation perspective.
  • Effectively negotiate with IT vendors and manage the delivery of projects and/or operational services to successfully support the business priorities. 
  • Work closely with IT related projects to effectively transition initiative into IT Operations.

 

You would be the best fit for this role if you have…

  • Post-secondary education in related field (Business, Computer Science, technology or related)
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar department budgets. 
  • 10+ years of experience leading ERP delivery, management, and optimization. 
  • 10+ years of leading mid-sized teams. 
  • Experience leading projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment.
  • Leadership in mobilizing high performing teams across various time zones.
  • Proven experience creating strategic roadmaps, fostering sponsorship and delivering the desired outcome.
  • Experience working in a publicly traded organization and/or regulated environments with robust IT General Control Frameworks – PCI-DSS, SOX/C-SOX, GPDR, GMP, NIST, PII, Cannabis Act. 
  • Experience with various cloud environments would be an asset.
  • Experience with Azure cloud environment would be an asset.
  • IT Leadership experience in the following industries: CPG, Agriculture or Pharma. 
  • In depth experience with the following applications – SAP, Oracle, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Kinaxis, Visualization Tools.

  • Detailed understanding of the integration components of enterprise environments
  • Metrics driven and scorecard centric to provide appropriate visibility to stakeholders on a regular basis. 
  • Expert root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Proven ability to manage an operational budget.
  • Proven ability to motivate and keep teams highly engaged.
  • Proven ability to maintain partnership with external vendors to increase value.
  • Proven ability to manage teams working in multiple locations.
  • Ability to work in fluid and fast paced environment. 
  • Ability to incorporate industry best practices into the department.
