We’re seeking a full-time Business Development Director (official title: Director I, Brands Operations) for our Los Angeles-based corporate office.
This is an individual contributor position responsible for strategizing the business model for our third-party marketplace and executing brand partnerships within the sports and/or beauty categories.
Responsibilities
- Formulate the business development strategies for key categories
- Identify, evaluate and forge strategic alliances and partnerships that align with Marketplace objectives
- Exceed business development targets by designing tactical and creative sales plans, client presentations and negotiating complex deals to secure profitable partnerships
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, eCommerce sellers, and strategic partners to enhance brand reputation and drive business growth
- Conduct comprehensive global market research and competitive analysis to track industry trends and identify areas of opportunity
- Provide strategic recommendations for refining positioning, services and pricing strategies
- Plan and actively engage in industry networking events and customer engagement activities to enhance brand recognition, awareness and customer preference
- Leverage a virtual project team, fostering cross-organizational collaboration among commercial, operations and support functions to achieve brand success and deliver exceptional customer outcomes
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in brand business development, operations, strategic partnerships or a similar role in eCommerce or tech industry
- Proven track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with proven experience exceeding sales targets and driving tangible business outcomes
- Strong business acumen, expressive ability, data analysis, insight and precipitation and logical thinking
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
- Comfortability with adapting to new challenges and embracing continuous learning
- Able to independently complete complex project promotion across multiple business domains or teams
- Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
Pay $121,600.00 min. – $211,000.00 max annually. Bonus & RSU offered.
