What are we looking for?

Responsible for maintaining and growing the interest of sales leads and working closely with the SVP and RVPs in the pursuit of new sales; establish rapport, build credibility and maintain on-going communications with internal stakeholders for the coordinated management of multiple sales-related projects, and to support the overall growth of the Government Health Plan book of business.

Where you will have an impact:

  • Work closely with the SVP and RVPs to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives within each sales region
  • Support the pursuit of new sales opportunities and overall revenue growth within all regions
  • In partnership with Client Management, cultivate relationships with existing clients in the pursuit of upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Participate in marketing campaigns targeting new prospects to grow and maintain interest in purchasing Versant Health Services
  • Gain expertise in government product requirements; federal and market specific
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules related to sales campaigns / marketing/media campaigns; conferences; proposal development and delivery; consultant activity
  • Work with SalesForce administrator to expand dashboards and to track sales results tied to sales activity (sales campaigns, conferences, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Proposal Team to ensure proposal content is refreshed on a regular basis;
  • Communicate with multiple departments, consultants, etc. as needed in partnership with Sales Executives to promote lead generation
  • Participate in interactive, on-site meetings during normal business hours, when possible
  • Attend conferences, off-site
  • Create and distribute monthly sales scorecards
  • 10 to 15% travel time, when travel is possible 
  • Other duties as assigned


What’s necessary to do the job?

  • Preferred Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 2-5 years of relevant sales experience working for a Medicaid or Medicare health plan, or a service provider selling services to Medicare and Medicaid health plans
  • Established  knowledge of the  managed care industry, specifically Medicare; Medicaid
  • Trade show/conference exhibiting experience
  • Established contacts within government-sponsored health plans for lead generation
  • Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce preferred), MS Windows and Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

As a component of job roles and responsibilities, Associates may have access to covered information, cardholder data or other confidential customer information which must be protected at all times. As a result, Associates must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Privacy & Security Training Program.

The wage range for applicants for this position is [$80,000 to $85,000].

All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
