Director, Enterprise Solutions

The Lead Solution Architect will work closely with the Head of Global Information Systems and Head of Finance Transformation to scope, plan, and deliver digital solutions based on our prioritized Transformation projects. This role will lead and drive development, implementation and adoption of enterprise systems and solutions that drive efficiency in business processes and reduce cost of operation.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct in-depth technical discovery process, partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to analyze and identify technology priorities throughout the organization
  • In partnership with the Head of Global Information Systems and Procurement, recommend and execute projects that support Cronos’ ideal culture and current organizational maturity, with budget, timing, scope, and quality in mind
  • In partnership with the Head of Global Information Systems, set the technical direction for all Cronos Group software and systems, leading conceptualization and design architectural roadmaps for new and existing Cronos Group enterprise systems and solutions
  • Define, promote, and enforce standards in testing, monitoring, and architectural processes across the Information Systems team
  • Lead and facilitate triage discussions to identify and strategize delivery of work, providing technical consulting for projects that require accelerated intervention
  • Partner closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders on business development opportunities, gathering requirements, assessing resourcing and cost associated with technical work, providing potential solutions and determining key milestones
  • Diagnose problems and quickly determine potential solutions, developing and implementing corrective actions that support business operations
  • A key leader in Finance Transformation activities, providing technical guidance and expertise to ongoing and newly established Transformation projects
  • Provide technical coaching and mentorship throughout Cronos Group to help accelerate adoption of new systems and strengthen our employees’ technical aptitude
  • Act as a Culture champion, modeling our How We Roll behaviors to employees throughout our entire company as well as external stakeholders
  • Partner with suppliers, external vendors and consultants to find ways to improve the company’s software systems and applications
  • May lead a small system and applications team - recruit, retain, and engage top talent; foster a learning environment emphasizing innovative thinking, accountability, and collaboration through consistent coaching and development
  • Aid in setting overall IS Key Performance Indicators and ensure the success of meeting those objectives
  • Own and be accountable for future maturity of IS and advancing technology in partnership with IS leadership


You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or similar field
  • 10+ years' experience in software development with progressive experience designing scalable technical architecture in both cloud and non-cloud platforms
  • Progressive experience leading multiple cross-domain engineering projects
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies, project management methodologies Broad technology experience in application development, cloud architecture, databases, analytics, DevOps, management and monitoring
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a highly collaborative and innovate team, driven towards exceptional performance
  • A player and coach mentality; capable of being an effective people leader while developing your team to operate at peak performance
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical possibilities and limitations of systems to non-technical colleagues
  • A knack for identifying and tackling “hard problems”, thinking creatively, and getting things done. You stay current on technology and are passionate about figuring out how to make processes, systems, functions, and experiences better
  • Track record of being a change agent, adept at delivering better business results by bringing in new approaches and perspective
  • Roll up the sleeves attitude with comfort transitioning between tactical execution and strategic thinking
  • Capable of building trust with stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to your business partners Sound decision making skills; can swiftly assess risks, analyze complex situations and determine next course of action
  • Adaptable and organized; capable of managing efforts and dynamically prioritizing multiple work-streams with a positive attitude
