We're looking for a Director of Product Development (Engineering) who will lead the CRM product.


We are searching for an experienced engineering leader who has worked in a startup product environment and also has deep SaaS experience delivering products at scale to millions of users.


This leader will propel a high-performing team to its next phase of growth. This individual will rely on their business acumen, strategic thinking, and data skills to drive customer and business outcomes at scale.


They will be comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, balancing precision with speed. They will leverage their expertise to guide and inspire the team, attract, and develop top talent, and be both a business leader and technology leader.


Qualifications

  • Ability to articulate a clear vision, define success and prioritize what’s most important while operating under extreme ambiguity and time pressure
  • Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to identify patterns and opportunities across a complex ecosystem of products and services
  • Demonstrated outstanding craft delivering SaaS and database technologies at scale
  • Deep level of technical experience with Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS) 
  • Have a firm understanding of systems engineering and high-availability design.
  • Experience in operating at different levels of altitude across the entire software development lifecycle
  • Skilled in creating strong partnerships, influencing stakeholders, and driving business outcomes across data, product, marketing, and sales
  • Demonstrates ability to research & learn new technologies and business processes independently and apply them as needed. 
  • Passion for facilitative leadership, collaboration and lead teams across boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels - from front line engineers to senior leaders.
  • You have a minimum BS degree in Computer Science, CE or EE, MS degree preferred, or equivalent experience


Responsibilities

  • You'll collaborate with Cross-functional leaders at the domain level on strategy, prioritization, and feature delivery
  • You'll work with Engineering Managers to remove roadblocks, review roadmaps, articulate business outcomes and establish measures of success
  • You'll recognize the value of transparent, honest communication and the necessity of sharing information
  • You'll participate with peers to ensure the organizational structure is a help, and not a hindrance, to getting work done
  • You'll continually explore innovative business practices and determine fit for team and company


Technology Strategy – Define a durable and scalable technology strategy for scaling the platform capabilities for the needs of customers for Mailchimp and Intuit’s flagship offerings like QuickBooks Online. These capabilities will touch hundreds of millions of current and future customers.


Boundaryless Collaboration – Able to operate in a complex org structure and collaborating with multiple stakeholders globally. Partner with business and technology teams to prioritize roadmaps, requirements, balancing business needs with financial and technology constraints. Establish alignment of vision, strategy & delivery working with cross functional teams (PM, PD, XD, Care..) and stakeholders including senior leaders across geographies.


Operational & Engineering Excellence – Result oriented and deliver huge outcomes. Sets clear objectives and goals for the team and enables the team to deliver and use operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve. Establishes the data driven processes needed to achieve operational & engineering excellence. Foster Engineering culture within the team and across organizations.


Build a high performance culture – Grow and coach engineering talent, acts as a talent magnet to attract, nurture and retain senior talent including Engineering Managers, engineers, and architects. Develops and drives strategy to hire, develop and mobilize talent for the organization.


Speed as a Habit – can operate in a fast-moving environment, make quick data driven customer backed decisions and execute fiercely to deliver outcomes.


Customer Obsession – is a staunch advocate for the developers and customers. Stays close to customer problems and solves for them with urgency.


Lead, develop and inspire a team of ~30 engineers.
