As Director, Social & Content, you will lead Tinder’s brand marketing efforts to break into the culture in the US & Canada! You will be a key brand leader and marketing authority for all guerrilla, social channel, partnerships and cultural opportunities initiatives. The right candidate is dedicated to figuring out ways of starting conversations in Gen Z's zeitgeist or entering existing ones in a meaningful way. This role will report to the VP of Marketing and lead a 3 people team. This is a hybrid role based at Tinder's HQ in WeHo (Los Angeles).


Responsibilities

  • Identifying new trends to fuel new innovative content development for organic growth and visibility.
  • Devise unique ways to keep Tinder in the social zeitgeist on a regular basis. Partner with influential individuals and brands to drive efficiency.
  • Build and manage structure to set Tinder for success as a cultural brand. Insert Tinder in a relevant way in conversations, cultural discussions and trending topics.
  • Manage partnerships with relevant brands, prioritizing efforts towards transparency and brand equity improvement
  • Manage Marketing Strategy and Initiatives for specific cohorts such as college students and LGBTQIA+ community
  • Drive innovation across all Tinder social channels, remaining up to date on new technology, platforms, macro trends and competitor activities to apply to strategic plans.
  • Expand the fan base across the brand’s owned social channels by attracting new followers and redefining current followers into brand advocates. Boosting fan engagement across relevant platforms.
  • Drive Social Channels as a strategic tool for crafting brand perception and creating efficient audience for conversion
  • Build an informed content strategy for Tinder social channels, prioritizing channels and formats.
  • Standardize tracking, tools, and measurement methodologies in partnership with the analytics team.
  • Build and develop a strong internal and external team (agency support) across social community management, creative development, and talent management.
  • Work closely with consumer insights and regional marketing teams to identify key research needs, and to share those trends and insights globally. 


You Have:

  • 10 years+ developing world-class culturally relevant marketing activation
  • Consistent track record of successfully leading brands in the social landscape
  • Strong understanding of Gen-Z in the US
  • Profoundly connected with the US cultural trends
  • A highly collaborative leader who can set a vision, build trust, and get results across XF and global teams
  • Ability to set direction even when faced with high levels of ambiguity
  • Passion for the category and our members 


Salary Range:

$180,000


$210,000 a year


Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
