Director, Brand Partnerships

Dotdash Meredith is hiring a Director, Brand Partnerships with a strong background and focus on beauty and style accounts within the advertising sales space. In this role, you will be responsible for using your category knowledge and expertise to forge new partnerships and grow existing business for Byrdie, Brides, InStyle and Shape. This role reports directly to our VP, Brand Partnerships for Beauty & Style. 

About Your Contributions:

  • Represent our Beauty and Style brands in the advertising marketplace with digital industry expertise, professionalism and a thoughtful, strategic approach for growing our business
  • Continually educate yourself on your clients’ business challenges and work to bring the clients advertising solutions which help to solve these challenges
  • Develop, maintain and grow strong relationships with client and agency partners across multiple levels of both organizations
  • Strive to be at a level in the relationships where you have intelligence about your client goals and objectives ‘before the RFP’
  • Demonstrate a full understanding and proficiency with your assigned brands’ presentations, marketing, and research materials
  • Promptly respond to opportunities and participate in the development of RFP replies, presentations, proposals, etc.
  • Contribute to the strategic mission of the sales team by raising ideas, questions and concerns as we work to continually elevate our work in the marketplace.
  • Advocate for the clients needs with our internal teams to ensure the work delivered to our clients has as much insight into their goals and objectives as possible, including crafting proactive "big ideas" for target clients, utilizing market data, client goals, and industry knowledge. 
  • Accurately forecast, track, and report sales performance with our internal tools each week.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals

About You:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of digital media sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of success in breaking accounts without no prior history of spending
  • Relationships within Beauty/Retail and Lifestyle categories strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in selling a variety of types of solutions to clients.  For example, custom content, editorial sponsorships, mobile executions, programmatic, and a curiosity and willingness to learn new things and share them with clients
  • Working collaboratively with sales support staff internally is in your DNA
  • You have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, and a passion for excellence
  • Results-driven orientation, superior client management skills, excellent follow-up and follow-through
  • Independent self-starter who comes equipped with strong contacts at key digital agencies and clients and can get up and running quickly
  • High degree of integrity and business ethics
  • Willing to travel as needed
  • College degree required

Pay Range: $125,000 to $163,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
