Digital Workplace Communication Specialist

The Digital Workplace team is responsible for ensuring that the employee experience with digital tools is easy to navigate and enables optimal execution of their work. Reporting to the Digital Workplace Senior Communications Manager, the Digital Workplace Communication Specialist will be responsible for the supporting the global delivery of the overall communication and change management strategy, collaborating with stakeholders on messaging and deliverables creation, and the execution of campaigns.


Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Communications Strategy
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the TCCC’s key business objectives and goals
  • Understand how the IT & Digital Workplace initiatives drive and support the overall company goals
  • Support execution of the overall communications strategy for IT & Digital workplace that ties to the business strategy


Change Management

  • Listens to stakeholders through a variety of means (e.g. focus groups, surveys, quick polls) to understand challenges and opportunities and constantly refine communications and change strategies and tactics
  • Develop surveys to support obtaining feedback from stakeholders Execute global engagement plans and activities


Community Support in Yammer

  • Advocate for use of Yammer across internal communications teams
  • Drive the health of key communities in Yammer including the main Digital Workplace Tips and News community as well as the main tool communities (Using Teams, Using Yammer, etc.)
  • Support governance, monitoring, and maintenance processes for communities in Yammer
  • Support development of training and resources for team and community owners


Channel Support and Content Creation

  • Learn team/project methodologies and tools to effectively participate in and support team/project deliverables
  • Willingness to continuously test and learn products and new features through routines with vendors and Product team
  • Develop and execute communications and campaigns that drive the desired behaviors
  • Author and maintain Digital Workplace & IT content on Connect, including the Shortcut site
  • Compile metrics to measure effectiveness of communications and change tactics
  • Create media and execute Yammer Engagement Plans to send training, tips and tricks, short videos, to educate and inform users
  • Communication support for significant projects or campaigns
  • Design mini “curriculums” in LinkedIn Learning
  • Create content for and support Live Events
  • Storyboard, create, edit, and produce short videos
  • Create GIFs and provide graphic design support
  • Support and creation of training/instructional materials


Education Requirements:

BA/BS in Communications or related


Related Work Experience:

Relevant internship or work study


Functional Skills:

  • Proven expertise supporting and executing complex communication and change campaigns in a complex global organization
  • Expertise with customer relationship management, and navigating a matrixed organization
  • Experience and familiarity with associate facing digital experiences (i.e., Collaboration Tools, Productivity Tools, Video Conferencing, File Management)
  • Experience and familiarity with communication platforms and technologies (i.e., Email platforms, SharePoint, Yammer)
  • Proven capability in GIF creation, graphic design, video storyboarding, editing, production)
  • Knowledge of internal and external social media best practices
  • Ability to use data to understand campaign effectiveness and develop a strategy and plan to continuously improve strategy and tactics
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment with fluctuating and conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to efficiently manage tasks and time
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work with minimal supervision
