Digital & Social Media Manager

Our team of 700+ staff see clients virtually and physically from our downtown Toronto and Oakville clinics.

The Digital & Social Media Manager plays an important role on the Go to Market marketing team at Medcan. This position combines technical and marketing expertise focused on managing Medcan’s digital and social channels, while ensuring that we have an engaging, results-driven content strategy. The role will plan, develop, and execute digital and social campaigns across the full marketing funnel.


You live and breathe the latest digital and social media trends. You have a strong understanding of technical requirements and content strategies for all platforms and audiences, including performance analysis and optimization. Not only do you enjoy day to day operations in the digital & social media space, but you love to work on long term strategies to expand our reach and attract new and engaged audiences.

This role is responsible for demand generation as part of our organic and paid campaign strategies and will also work closely with partners in HR to feature talent programs and position Medcan as a great place to work for both corporate and clinical recruitment.

The Accountabilities:

  • Create and execute a digital marketing strategy to reach new and existing clients, collect first-party data and lead customers through a full digital journey from click to conversion.
  • Proven track record in keyword research, SEM, SEO, Display, programmatic, retargeting and other digital marketing tactics that drive results in a full-funnel marketing approach.
  • Work closely with media buying agency to ensure that recommendations align to Medcan’s business priorities and objectives; monitor and optimize ongoing performance while driving a low cost per lead to efficiently manage marketing spend.
  • Develop and lead strategies that solicit positive Google reviews for all Medcan locations while monitoring and providing ongoing community management
  • Manage and optimize Google My Business listings for all Medcan locations
  • Leverage Google Analytics (GA) to establish KPIs, benchmarks and regular reporting for our channels.
  • Create dashboards in GA to monitor campaign performance and website trends to identify areas for optimization and merchandising
  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the Marketing team, cross-functional stakeholders, and Leadership Team
  • Create and manage paid and organic (boosted) campaigns in Meta, LinkedIn and other relevant social media channels
  • Publish and amplify social media posts across all relevant channels, optimizing budget based on performance objectives.
  • Manage the Medcan social channels on a day-to-day basis, including monitoring for comments and replies on both social media channels
  • Ensure that leads from social media campaigns are promptly uploaded into Salesforce for processing
  • Create and deliver the social media channel strategy to effectively target new client acquisition for both B2C and B2B audiences’
  • Create compelling social content including copywriting, graphics, reels, and stories designed for a variety of formats and audience targets.

The Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, social media and/or a content marketing role
  • Proven track record with campaign set-up, media buying, Google (AdWords/GDN), Meta, LinkedIn, performance management and optimization
  • Deep understanding of first-party data collection, cookie consent, campaign reporting structures (Salesforce) and pixel tracking
  • In-depth knowledge of key analytics and performance tools including Google Analytics, GA4, Google My Business, and Tag Manager
  • Experience working in Sprout Social and Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem are considered a strong asset
  • A highly collaborative attitude focused on providing the best products and solutions for the team.
