Digital Product Designer

The Digital Product Designer will be focused on finding unique solutions for making complex problems simple, evangelizing ‘usability’ while ensuring the experience is executed at the highest design standards. For this particular role, we’re looking for someone who is competent across the broader spectrum of Digital Product UX and UI design.

 

You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming innovative solutions to customer issues and business goals small and large, to providing pixel perfect developer ready outputs. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills to provide versatile support to the team across site enhancements, new features/initiatives, and content.

 

You will be a detail orientated team player, ready to collaborate with our Product, Development and content/marketing teams to produce data driven creative solutions that balance function and beauty befitting of one of the world’s most reknown luxury brands.


Responsibilities

Digital Design

  • Execute UX and UI outputs of major commerce and omni-channel features from large scale page variations and high level wireframes to small assets with precision and detail to the specifications of the hiring manager.
  • Help to drive and execute the development and communication of clear digital design guidelines, patterns, libraries, and assets – ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints, with a view to settling on a design system for the company.
  • Communicate solutions and concepts through sketching, storyboards, flows, HI fidelity designs and prototypes for use in test scenarios.
  • Contribute to the overall design team vision by improving existing features, identifying new opportunities and generating innovative solutions.
  • Partner closely with the creative and marketing teams to design new inspirational and educational experiences, under the supervision of the manager.
  • Work with Consumer insights teams to translate data into customer focused design updates, features and visual solutions to customer problems.
  • Partner closely with the IT/development team to implement designs and find solutions to blockers.
  • Review/QA work prior to deployment to ensure original designs were implemented correctly, that it still meets the required objectives and meets the high standards of Tiffany & Co.
  • Juggle multiple projects across different parts of the business and manage time effectively, priortising and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Interpret needs, objectives, and direction from multiple stakeholders and integrate feedback appropriately.
  • Previous experience working with the platform AEM or a similar CMS tool a major advantage.
  • A deep understanding of key UI/UX principles, processes, methodologies (deep understanding that extends beyond “how it looks”).
  • Experience with testing accessibility of UI and updating components to adhere to client accessibility standards/requirements.

  • Must be a team-player with the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams fostering idea-sharing, and streamlining.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, willing to seek out ways to help, support the team, suggest new improvements to site, team culture and process.
  • Respond well to critism and direction from manager.
  • Develop information architecture guides, wireframes, prototypes and presenations that can communicate core features/functionality and product structure to stakeholders and technology team.
  • Build relationships with cross functional team members and executives across organizations, and effectively speak to process, design goals and team vision as a strong representative of the design team.
  • Experience collaborating with product teams (product managers, engineers, user researchers, other designers) on the vision for features/products and can turn this vision into reality through design.
  • Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve.
  • A high aptitude for teamwork and open collaboration. Great at proactively asking for feedback by sharing work early and often.


Research & Innovation

  • Keep abreast of latest interactive technology, developments/trends and UX/UI best practices in the digital landscape, and evaluate suitability for Tiffany.com.
  • Partner with IT colleagues to ideate on potential innovations that solve real customer problems and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Inspire what’s possible by quickly producing multiple concepts, knowing when to apply attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches and prototypes.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills, organization skills and time management skills.
  • Must exhibit highest level of work standards and keen attention to detail.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, posses a strong work ethic, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be technologically savvy, with proficiency in relevant design and prototyping software for documenting, communicating ideas/outputs/solutions, showcasing flows etc such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite and more.
  • Portfolio of interaction and visual design work.
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design.
