Digital Marketing Manager

The primary purpose of the eCRM and Automation Ops and Governance Manager is to support the enterprise with eCRM technologies and data-management practices – primarily for email and marketing automation channel – that enable infrastructure for performance marketing, brand, LOB, subs & affiliates marcom strategy and tactics. Working closely with the eCRM and Automation Group Sr. Manager, this teammate will maintain vendor engagements, deliver best-in-class operational models, and establish business processes and procedures at scale for the enterprise, to maximize value via these partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.) 

  • Lead existing and emerging technology initiatives for email and marketing automation channel via Agile delivery that align with eCRM and Automation goals and strategies, as well as Truist business strategy, while operating within Risk and Compliance frameworks.
  • Identify and develop game-changing business opportunities with significant impacts on the direction and vision of Digital Marketing.
  • Expand data-driven capabilities to drive meaningful recommendations and action plans from analysis and focus towards higher-return investments, client portfolios (penetration, activation, usage and attrition) and data optimization.
  • Establish and enforce a robust governance framework for a best-in-class, enterprise-level eCRM and Automation practice that ensures consistent controls and monitoring, and includes necessary operational processes.
  • Effectively communicates strategies with management, peers, business and technical partners.
  • Dictates strategy for enterprise subscriber growth, data hygiene, and contact management, including oversight of annual eCRM marketing calendar.
  • Manage vendor engagements and be the primary COE (Center of Excellence) point of contact for procurement related to eCRM infrastructure.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with technology and data leaders to evaluate solutions, manage scope and dependencies, and resolve conflicts within schedule and budget constraints. 
  • Instructs, coaches and guides direct reports for delivery and task management of ops and governance duties for eCRM and Automation team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
  • 7+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Deep specialized (SME) and/or broad knowledge within the marketing (or related) discipline. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes managing a process.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure, in addition to leading a team of professionals.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
  • Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective.
  • Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in the use of email service providers, marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Marketo, IBM Watson, Eloqua, Epsilon, Acoustic, Adobe Campaign, Pardot, etc.)
  • Proficiency in API development for integrating MarTech, AdTech and database systems.
  • Agile certified: Demonstrated ability to apply agile marketing methodologies and processes to large enterprise, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop strategies that break long-term goals into short term wins to facilitate learning, quick iteration, with shorter time to market and return on investment.
  • Working knowledge of various programming languages: Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, Python, SQL
  • Strong quantitative, technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for measuring results and identifying actionable insights.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or technology field
  • Working knowledge of American Disabilities Act (ACT) compliance requirements
