Digital Marketing Coordinator

Remote Scarborough, ON

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to support our Digital Marketing team. This is a 12-month contract/acting opportunity, reporting to the Manager, Major Events & Digital Marketing.


The successful candidate will work towards understanding priorities for our Email CRM communications program, briefing agency partners on requirements and manage project delivery.


The candidate will also assist the consultants in becoming the thought leaders in Digital for TCI by supporting, developing and governing the growth of Toyota as a digital powerhouse.


They will also build strong and trusting relationships with agencies and other partners to ensure smooth running of all projects where social is present and administer vendor invoices while leading the budget tracking process for digital marketing expenses.

What You’ll be Doing:

Coordinate Core Tier 1 LCM Program

  • Coordinate across eight key TCI stakeholders to consolidate requirements, write briefs and deliver to agency for each LCM email deployment
  • Cultivate a strong partner relationship in order to boost agency efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee and optimize budget cost-sharing program as well as the LCM enhancement budget on behalf of multiple stakeholders with attention to detail


Social Media & Content Project and Initiatives

  • Lead cost-effective content shoots using influencers and content creators, setting up creators with vehicles, picking selects from their output and making recommendations to the Social Media Consultant
  • Participate in bi-weekly content review sessions for both Toyota & Lexus with partner agencies along with monthly reporting sessions


Digital Team Finance & Budget Tracking

  • Administer all digital marketing related invoices through SAP in a timely manner
  • Execute and adhere to month-end obligations and finance deadlines accordingly (i.e., ensure accruals, prelim and final reporting review, SAP alignment with tracker)
  • Track and optimize the digital marketing budget with 0% variance through concise tracking with Microsoft Excel and strong monthly communication with relevant stakeholders


Administration & Co-op Training

  • Initiate co-op onboarding sessions, training, monthly reviews to ensure student is equipped with success and has the mentorship to develop professionally
  • Brainstorm, develop, and distribute the monthly marketing brand newsletter via. HR Communications


What You’ll Bring:

  • College diploma or university degree in business, marketing, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of current and emerging digital/social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Strong project leadership skills
  • Strong organizational, leadership and negotiating skills
  • Ability to build relationships and build alignment and consensus on key initiatives across the organization
  • Detail oriented and able to multitask efficiently
  • Self-motivator with the ability to start and complete projects with limited supervision
  • Customer first orientation
  • Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
