Digital Graphic Designer

Moncton, NB

We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Digital Graphic Designer.


Reporting to the Lead Designer, the Digital Graphic Designer will be working in a highly collaborative work environment within the Marketing team, interpreting business needs for our recreational and medical cannabis brands, and transforming them into disruptive creative design solutions. This role will conceptualize, design and execute creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate our positioning and messaging through all brand touch points (including but not limited to videos, digital ads, social media, web and print executions.)


The successful candidate must have a passion for cannabis, an eye for detail, yet be capable of seeing the big picture and contributing to the success of the overall creative strategy. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to develop designs that align with brand guidelines as well as adapt to evolving marketing initiatives. This position requires a Designer who is up for conceptual challenges and tight deadlines in a fun yet fast paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and drive brand identity standards and updating guidelines for all recreational and medical cannabis brands;
  • Think creatively and strategically to create new design concepts for digital (web/social), trade-marketing and traditional channels (videos, digital displays and print collateral);
  • Create motion graphics, sound editing and adding visual effects for video content;
  • Edit creative material to highest standards to create highly engaging videos and digital ads (including HTML5);
  • Maintain a high standard of design and ensure that only the best work is released for review;
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including brand marketing, trade marketing & the digital/social teams;
  • Flawlessly execute ideas, but also be a part of the early phases of the creative process (including brief clarification, ideation and challenging the brief owner);
  • Work autonomously as well as be part of a team (able to run with a task as well as communicate and collaborate);
  • Produce quality content within short, dynamic deadlines;
  • Stay current with industry trends and techniques;
  • Experience developing and designing within defined wireframes;
  • Other duties as may be required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or College Degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Interactive Design, or a related field preferred;
  • 5+ years of working experience in graphic design and video editing in the e-commerce/social media space;
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe XD);
  • Experience using Web CMS platforms like Drupal and an understanding of web-based CSS parameters would be considered an asset.
