We are looking for an interdisciplinary Designer who is excited about visual storytelling across mediums and building fluid design systems. The ideal candidate is a conceptually-driven strategic thinker who can deliver top-tier creative solutions, obsessed with design patterns and typography, and is dialed into current cultural trends. They understand the necessary marriage of brand creative and design that optimizes for conversion, yet seeks solutions that break the existing molds.


He/she/they will actively participate in and lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas, from storyboard to final production, for key creative across the brand ecosystem. The Designer will work closely with the creative team as a whole, as well as with the Art Director, Creative Director and cross-functional stakeholders to produce the best-quality creative to continue to establish the Youth To The People brand.

 

Responsibilities

  • Concept and execute both print and digital creative around new product launches, social media channels, in-store displays, and experiential for the brand
  • Own strategy and creative application across multiple projects at once
  • Work with the design team to evolve the brand design system, understanding the value of design patterns and helping to build and maintain a cohesive visual language
  • Ability to iterate and expand on established concepts + directions
  • Work collaboratively with creative team and cross functional stakeholders to execute on innovative, integrated solutions
  • Keep a close eye on full project process and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables


Qualities + Qualifications

  • 4-6 years experience in digital/brand design, but really It’s all about the work
  • Experience establishing and evolving design systems
  • A generalist full of unending curiosity
  • Comfortable working across many different platforms while building consistency (i.e. packaging, motion, digital, web, art direction, branding, and experiential)
  • Exceptional eye for detail and trained in typography + layout
  • Collaborative yet generative working style
  • Self motivated, team player mentality
  • Top-tier visual storytelling skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints
  • Experience working in smaller, high-growth company is a plus
  • Proficient in: Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma, Conceptual Design, Digital Design, Environmental, Type Design, Interactive and Motion graphics, Art Direction, Project Management, 2D, 3D
