You welcome creative collaboration and have demonstrated retail/ecommerce experience in print and digital. You can delve into channel-specific work with an omni-channel mindset. High-quality and attention to detail are a given in your work. You geek out on the tiniest of design details, and appreciate the efficiency of a template. You have the capability, capacity and drive to hit the ground running in a growing department.

We are a Creative Department looking for the right Designer to join our in-house team of ego-free misfits. Our creatives are enthusiastic and thrive in a highly collaborative, sometimes quick-turn environment. Positive vibes only. Well, at least 93% of the time (we are only human).  


About the Role:

This Designer will primarily focus on print and partner channels – promo partnerships and direct mail pieces. You will be required to concept work that connects cohesively with an overarching campaign vision, with an authentic, clean, and inspirational brand tone. You must be able to take direction and effectively collaborate with teammates across disciplines to clarify requirements, goals, expectations, and timelines. Organization and multi-tasking abilities as well as excellence in communication are essential for this position. This is a Mid-level role within a growing team. This role reports into the Associate Creative Director, Print. Experience working in an agile/sprint system is a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Design work focused on external partnerships, offering solutions that achieve design strategy and merchant objectives.
  • Periodically tasked with projects in other channels: digital design and direct mail.
  • Partner with Associate Creative Directors, Art Directors, Senior Designers, Copywriters, and Junior Designers to bring the brand and seasonal expression to life in all projects.
  • Dedication to ensuring efficient, high quality and timely production of designs.
  • Juggle a mix of quick-turnaround projects, often with overlapping priorities and urgency, by working proactively with Creative Operations.
  • Make various formats of supplied assets production-ready and resolve any asset issues that arise during production.
  • Build and maintain organized working files inside a collaborative file structure.
  • Show professionalism in all aspects of your daily tasks.
  • Be self-motivated, flexible, and able to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Continually adopt new tools and practices as the work evolves.
  • Manage work tasks, functions and time sheet using department’s project management tool. Knowledge of Workfront is a plus.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Advertising or Fine Arts highly preferred, but will accept additional experience in lieu of formal education.
  • 3+ years’ design experience, with a focus on printed marketing materials, and exposure to digital.
  • Portfolio to example your skills and aesthetic.
  • Agency experience a plus.
  • Excellent type and layout skills paired with a strong design aesthetic.
  • An understanding of the print process and press checks is desired.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, etc. 
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with a clear and responsive communication style.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Passionate about creative work, but known for taking direction and critique with grace (no jerks allowed).
