Design Operations Lead

Our new Brand Design Operations Manager will be an organizational leader on projects, managing design development from brief to implementation. You will assist the Brand Design Manager and partner with cross- functional partners to set priorities, manage deliverables and timelines, and make sure projects are delivering on business goals and initiatives. Projects will span teams, offices and countries for a wide range of touch points including integrated TV campaigns, social campaigns, emails, website landing pages, video production, and more. 


In this important role, you will help steward the Rocket Lawyer brand and help the Brand Design team effectively work better and faster which will positively impact the company as a whole. What you'll do

  • Work with the Brand Design Manager on incoming projects, reviewing statement of work and project plans, assisting in resourcing, kicking off projects, managing efforts, and deliverables.
  • Help improve internal processes or create new ones that assist team efficiency, productivity, value and collaboration. This may include improved work streams, team events, weekly stand ups, documentation, etc.
  • Communicate with internal partners and vendors to align on timelines and deliverables, setting expectations and clarifying the “why”, and heading off problems before they arise.
  • Ability to provide support for design in building presentation decks, research, reviewing design files and delivery of production assets to ensure they are on-brief and on-brand.
  • Identify and resolve blockers for creatives with special attention to uncertainty on next steps, incomplete deliverables/project specs, timeline questions, and communication of project status.


What you'll need

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in project management, design ops, or traffic producer roles. 
  • Experience managing workloads of multiple creative, marketing and enterprise teams
  • Excellent Jira experience creating and managing project tickets, writing briefs and maintaining schedules.
  • Understanding of design and production workflows across mediums including: social, web, advertising, email and video production, but you do not need to create these. 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in expressing design needs to your team members.
  • Robust understanding of business goals and how they translate to managing assignments and briefs
  • Low ego and team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to collaborate with your teammates.
  • Authorization to work in the United States and ideally you reside in the San Francisco Bay Area for occasional meetings or events, yet this role is mostly WFH.
