What’s the role?

This is an exciting & demanding role to help develop Shell Fuels Strategy for Branded and Unbranded business and its implementation across the value chain; driving business systems & process improvements to improve supply reliability and acting as focal point on the US Fuels, Supply and Trading hubs. The Demand Strategy Coordinator position collaborates with staff inside and outside Mobility to provide analysis of supply position and market intelligence to make quick turn-around recommendation in a dynamic environment. This role will work on opportunities to support the team to deliver on both strategy and system analysis and implementation.

Reporting to the Demand Operations Manager, you will:

  • Support Demand Operations and team members in researching and formulating strategy and business development solutions in order to optimize the integrated value chain in Shell USA Mobility.
  • Lead initiatives such as end-to-end cross business integrated value portfolio optimization and developing and executing project plans to present to the Pricing and Demand Leadership Team.
  • Work with Allocation systems, Mapping tools, and large data sets to help develop Mobility Strategy
  • Identify, develop, deliver and implement demand system enhancement opportunities, in collaboration with Terminal Data Management, Loading Support Services and Demand Management team.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects aimed at margin improvement, cost reductions, streamlined processes, and CVP compliance within Pricing and Demand Management Department.

What we need from you –

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
  • At least five (5) years experience in business/finance or related field, preferably petroleum downstream industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Candidate is highly organized and able to manage priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously, both in a team and individual atmosphere.
  • Experienced in project planning and management; ability to manage relationship with different stakeholders and deliver results through others.
  • Candidate must demonstrate business acumen, able to balance the short-term benefits and long-term perspective.
  • Skilled in working with large set of data and provide actionable business intelligence.
  • Previous experience with Supply and Demand tools, e.g., allocation management is preferred.
