Demand Planning Manager

Marina del Rey, CA

The Manager of Demand Planning will assist with all sales analysis and reporting, competitive tracking, inventory planning and continued enhancements to the Cuts’s sales tracking tools/programs.

KEY OUTPUTS & DELIVERABLES

  • Provides thorough analysis of SKU level sell-thru data each month by highlighting product category trends, new product performance, top sellers, etc.
  • Utilize available data to analyze trends related to consumption, distribution, incremental mix in development of demand plan.
  • Analyze factors that impact demand for CUTS products (i.e. category trends / promotions / high-reaching products / seasonality / distribution channels), to build a demand plan that quantifies the business environment in a rolling longer-term horizon.
  • Monitor metrics to identify potential inventory problems through all planning horizons and coordinate efforts to resolve.
  • Lead product season financial plan in conjunction with Finance team to determine proper forecast for new and carry over products categories
  • Analyzes, maintains, and orders all replenishment inventory
  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to determine evolving business needs and develop solutions
  • Develops top-down forecast for the budget reviews and on a monthly basis for all channels by analyzing recent replenishment trends and new product launches
  • Develops bottom-up forecast at the sku-level by analyzing recent trends, historical sales, new product launches and seasonality
  • Provides thorough analysis of SKU level sell-thru data each month by highlighting product family trends, new product performance, top sellers, and publishes the SKU report to the Marketing and Product teams
  • Responsible for reporting out demand plan accuracy
  • Lead and facilitate cross functional meetings to drive alignment on the end-to-end plans.
  • Manage Stakeholders through crafting and maintaining reporting to all levels of the organization that summarizes inventory levels, capacity, service level, sales and all related issues that support these key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Brand team to consign special product for events and potential orders
  • Lead the process to achieve alignment in forecast assumptions
  • Lead discussions about key business drivers impacting the forecast including monthly Demand Reviews to an audience including key members of the business leadership team.
  • Analyze product and customer performance to inform item specific forecast assumptions.
  • Works closely with the Marketing & Growth team to develop analytics and reports to help better understand sales performance.
  • Creates ad hoc analyses on sales performance and inventory to understand new trends and provide recommendations for overall business strategy
  • Work closely with the Data Analytics team to generate base demand forecasts for a rolling longer-term horizon at the category level.
  • Collaborates with Merchandising & Marketing teams to determine proper assortment for each season
  • Provide visibility to sales forecasts in the format, level and detail required cross-functionally. Communicate changes timely including underlying documented assumptions.
  • Work with Marketing teams to ensure marketing events are accurately captured in forecasted plans
  • Offer suggestions and seek dedication to best meet consumer demand, ensuring high customer service and freshness, while minimizing cost.
  • Demonstrating awareness to factory/production capacity/DC constraints/raw material supply and its impacts on forward looking demand.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Growth, and broader Supply Chain teams to influence and align on key demand forecast assumptions focused on driving forecast accuracy improvements.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Expert proficiency in MS Office – particular emphasis on Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables). Access proficiency strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience. Previous experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Previous experience negotiating with a third-party customer in order to influence outcomes and generate solutions
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com, SAP, and Anaplan is a plus
  • Proficiency in database management and expert in data/information manipulation.
  • Ability to understand different systems and explain business needs to programmers
  • Strategic thinking ability to examine data, identify trends and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately and create competitive strategies and plans
  • Ability to adeptly manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate regularly with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Finance, MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years related experience


SALARY RANGE

$80,000 - $130,000

Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by Cuts Clothing, Inc.
