Database Marketing Analyst

Phoenix, AZ

The Database Analyst will work on the Loyalty & Personalization Database Management team with one other Database Analyst as well as a team of Direct Marketing Managers, Campaign Specialists and HTML Developers. This position focuses on campaign management selection/structure and targeting of direct marketing campaigns across channels of email, SMS and push.

 

Please note: This role is based in Phoenix, Arizona at PetSmart’s corporate office with remote flexibility.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain campaign selection logic, campaign files and coordinate secure/encrypted delivery of data
  • Ensure contact rules are consistently followed when building campaigns, including PetSmart business rules, customer contact preferences and message prioritization
  • Partner with internal marketing partners to understand campaign goals and identify target audiences
  • Support implementation of testing processes in partnership with Analytics, I.T., Data Science
  • Support implementation of Analytics, I.T. or Data Science identified audiences
  • Partner with I.T. to troubleshoot and identify data support if failures occur
  • Ensure multiple daily processes fully initiate and troubleshoot where needed
  • Partner with Campaign Operations Team on ISP Delivery issues and specific customers
  • Maintain email engagement reporting to ensure Campaign Operations Team is receiving metrics in a usable and timely manner
  • Partner with Campaign Operations Team to ensure data is loaded and accurate for various campaign deployments in a timely manner


Qualifications:

  • Must enjoy digging into data and complex problem solving with the team
  • 2 years of experience working with large databases containing various types of data
  • 2 years of experience utilizing audience/segmentation/campaign building tools
  • 2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel
  • 2 years of experience utilizing SQL
  • Experience performing complex analytics
  • High degree of initiative, personal responsibility and ownership
  • Expertise in managing multiple and competing demands and delivering against goals
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical partners
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Information Technology or related degree


Preferred:

  • Experience with campaign/audience building tools such as Unica, Salesforce Audience Builder/SFMC Automation Studio, Hightouch
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Aginity Workbench, Databricks
  • Previous CRM Database, email marketing and/or direct marketing experience
