Data Privacy Manager

The team: This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Privacy who is based in New York, NY.

 

The Impact: The Manager, Privacy will help support a business of approximately $9 billion in revenue and 50,000 employees world-wide, serving as a critical business partner and trusted advisor to the business.

 

The ideal candidate will be energetic, business-minded, technically savvy, process orientated, attentive to detail, willing to quickly learn and adapt, and be a self-motivated Manager, Privacy with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Privacy Management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong judgment, and an eagerness to learn about our evolving company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage global data subject request process and work flows, including deletion, access, Do Not Sell, correction and other requests;
  • Manage privacy platforms, including reporting and metrics;
  • Work with data governance team in identifying systems with data privacy implications and improving the process for documenting processing activities, systems, data maps, and data flows;
  • Work with data governance teams, help implement appropriate internal controls on data retention, data destruction, data minimization, secondary use, access restrictions, encryption, and anonymization programs related to PII; and
  • Contribute to Privacy Team with Data Privacy Risk Assessments, Transfer Risk Assessments, Data Mapping and Data Processing Agreements.
  • Serve as a critical business partner and trusted advisor to the business teams.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, client-facing environment and partner closely with colleagues in other functions, including IT and other functions, while forming part of a collaborative Privacy and Legal Team that is valued for its clear and concise advice.


Qualifications

  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Privacy Management
  • Requires a practical, process orientated approach to problem-solving
  • Certification in Privacy Management or Privacy Engineering a plus
  • Technical Background or knowledge of software development practices a plus
  • Candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technology and business environment, operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive attitude to the workplace and works collaboratively with other members of the Privacy and Legal Teams and with internal clients.


Benefits

The annual base salary range is $81000 - $100000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
