Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst on the Data Team Task Force, you will collaborate in an interdisciplinary team to tackle research projects that inform stakeholders on how to engage users through WEBTOON’s cutting-edge storytelling platform. You will work on research projects, data analysis, and product analysis to improve the WEBTOON app and internal understanding of data. The role requires out-of-the-box thinking, detail orientation, problem-solving, and innovative proposals.


**This is a 6-month temporary assignment.**


Essential Duties

  • Identify internal stakeholder needs and deliver reports as needed
  • Inform strategies through data driven decisions
  • Work on multiple projects at once while maintaining project timelines
  • Work cross-functionally to own different projects
  • Implement innovative tools for better understanding of user behavior and content health
  • Explore new methods for analyzing data and creating user segments


Deliverables

  • Create documentation and proposals for different projects
  • Query and manipulate big data sets using intermediate to advance level SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, visualization tools, etc.
  • Analysis of user lifecycle and reporting finding to key stakeholders
  • Developing machine learning models for analyzing data and gaining deeper insights
  • Create automations to improve workflow for data analyses and other systems needs


Minimum Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent degree with an emphasis in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business Data Analyst, Accounting, related fields of expertise
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analysis
  • Programming experience and beginning to medium level familiarity with SAS/SQL
  • Experience in Python and/or R preferred
  • Creative problem-solving and logical thought process
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to distill, structure, and draw insight from large amounts of data. Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining timelines, communication and minimal supervision
  • Strong level of familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Strong team player, ability to work collaboratively while owning parts of the project
  • Great at receiving and providing feedback
  • Good intuition, recommendations, and judgment for Entertainment Industry data
