Data Analyst

The RoundGlass Research team is seeking applications for a full-time data analyst position to start immediately (remote). The RoundGlass Research team is building a multi-modal data registry and health assessment toolkit that can track transformation across customizable platforms.  

 

As a key member of the Research Team and Mental Health collective, you will be joining a growing team of scientists and healthcare industry innovators helping develop data visualization and tracking tools to be used for personalized care. These tools will be designed for corporate and academic entities, as well as end users to engage with in meaningful ways –personalized feedback and health monitoring. The data analyst will have overall responsibility for developing and managing back-end analytical tools, including big data analytics, tracking clinical biomarker and health-related outcomes, and supporting the existing data management infrastructure. Come join our team and help advance cutting-edge research and innovation to build a scientific understanding of mind-body-brain connections on an exciting new well-being platform.  


What you’ll do:

  • Play an integral part of the research infrastructure development at RoundGlass 
  • Work with the Research Lead, internal Research team and external collaborators to Conduct and/or assist with statistical analysis plans, data analyses (e.g. correlation, regression, factor analysis, ANOVA, HLM etc.), report creation, and dissemination.  
  • Contribute to study reports, scientific abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and grant proposals (related to data analysis and statistics) 
  • Work in collaboration with the data and technology team to communicate engagement and outcomes data 
  • Work in collaboration with the B2B team to provide data for marketing and sales initiatives 
  • Help develop remote precision testing platform with innovative data science tools for personalized medicine and advanced health measurement 
  • Contribute clinical trials analytic experience to research collaborations with institutional partners 
  • Manage research databases and data pipeline 
  • Stays current on best practices and business/industry trends for health care tracking 
  • Receive/provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to facilitate a future career in academic, research, or industry settings. 
  • Ensures timeliness, regularity, and high quality of deliverables. 
  • Attends regularly scheduled and ad-hoc meetings as requested. 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree in quantitative field; bare minimum/PhD preferred in biostatistics or behavioral health research; working in public health, population health, behavior research, and/or digital/mobile health industry or related field 
  • 5+ years of analytical experience, data science and people analytics experience in a high-growth or health tech environment a plus 
  • Interest and/or experience in psychological/cognitive research 
  • Master’s degree in quantitative field
  • Excellent analytical, mathematic, communication and organization skills 
  • Clinical trials research experience 
  • Detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. A strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. And on top of it all, you're someone who wonders "What if?" and then seeks out the solution. 
  • Strong analytical/statistical methods background; Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, SAS, or other) and experience with descriptive statistical analysis 
  • Fluency with spreadsheets is a minimum; Preference will be given to candidates with strong coding/programming, machine learning and QC skills (e.g., Python, Java, Matlab, Unix, SQL, data crowdsourcing)  
  • Preference will also be given to candidates with background/experience in experimental paradigm design/implementation (e.g., E-Prime, Presentation, PsychoPy, etc.), psychophysiological experimentation (e.g., Startle-blink, skin conductance, etc.) and database design and extraction (working knowledge of SQL) 
  • Proficient computer and data-management (survey, administrative, and medical data) skills with a variety of data sources (e.g., Office, Adobe suite; REDCap; Survey monkey; Amazon Mechanical Turk)  
  • Ability to work independently and with team members and other stakeholders taking direction, offering ideas, and using resources effectively 
  • Experience collaborating with behavioral science teams in successfully obtaining small to large research grant funding from federal sources (e.g., NIH, NSR, AHRQ). 
  • High attention to detail while keeping an eye on the big picture
