Cybersecurity Product Manager

Middletown, CT

Reporting to the Cybersecurity Technology Leader, the Cybersecurity Product Manager develops, manages and coordinates day-to-day operations of Liberty Bank’s cybersecurity technologies, as well as the design and deployment of new or upgraded solutions to address service needs under an agile DevOps model.

 

Essential Functions

The Product Manager develops and oversees platform engineering and operations efforts for Cyber Operations. This includes overseeing platform monitoring and maintenance activities, the deployment of content on Cyber Operations platforms, and major security capital projects within Cyber Operations. Security technology experience is needed in several platform areas including Application Security, MFA, SIEM/SOAR, Vulnerability Management, Data Protection, Email, Endpoint Protection, & Network. 

 

The Product Manager provides roll-up reporting against metrics covering Cybersecurity Engineering services to the Cybersecurity Lead and other stakeholders. They also manage continuous improvement practices within Cybersecurity Engineering team.

 

The Product Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, development, training and retention of Cybersecurity Architect & Engineers. They will also be responsible for managing the Cybersecurity Engineering services provided by third-party contractors, partners, vendors or suppliers, who may be providing these functions to Cyber Operations.

 

principal accountabilities

  • Manages priority of tasks to accomplish an overall technology roadmap
  • Runs workshops to define and refine the technology roadmap
  • Tracks and implements features and functionality across the technology stack of Cyber Operations
  • Continuously improves processes and procedures across Cybersecurity Engineering service delivery
  • Manages the implementation of advanced integrations with the various technology platforms within Cybersecurity Engineering
  • Assists and provides mentorship to other members of the team as they work toward the technology roadmap
  • Tracks technology and workflow issues within Cyber Operations to improve performance and enhance productivity
  • Coordinates with project teams responsible for Cyber Operations technology solution development, deployment or enhancement

 

SECOND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides thought leadership and attends industry events
  • Works within a team environment and across Cybersecurity Engineering services and its consumers to complete associated tasks with exceptional results
  • Maintains and administers personnel activities for direct reports, including assignments, training, performance evaluations, and reviews

 

Dimensions

Minimum knowledge/skills

  • Bachelor degree in a related field such as information security, management or computer engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Active CISSP and/or CISM certifications required
  • Platform-specific certifications desirable
  • Extensive experience with the design, development, implementation and management of security analytics, security threat intelligence, SOAR and other information security platforms
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in cybersecurity engineering, with minimum of two


(2) years in leadership roles

  • Financial services provider industry experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Hybrid Work Schedule

This position is eligible to work a Hybrid Schedule. You are required to work onsite 3 days per week at the Middletown location and 2 days per week remote. Wednesdays are a core day that all employees are expected to come into the office. During your first 90 days, we request that you plan to be onsite at our office during your Onboarding period.
