Cybersecurity Administrator

PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $97,900-$119,600 annually. The full Pay Range is $76,100-$141,500 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

The Cybersecurity Administrator is heavily involved primarily in the implementation of the security life cycle in a multi-platform, multi-dimensional environment. The Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the security infrastructure as well as communicating expectations and working with users and vendors to meet business expectations and service levels. The Cybersecurity Administrator is crucial in keeping up with the day-to-day production operation of a variety of cybersecurity applications.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory, and Information Protection requirements.
  • Perform first and second level troubleshooting of various security systems.
  • Configure systems to monitor for indicators of compromise.
  • Conduct first level computer forensics.
  • Create, maintain and review firewall rules at least quarterly.
  • Routinely conducts security system upgrades and certificate/rekey updates.
  • Handle security administration functions, including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflow automation and other routine tasks.
  • Assist in training of new users and grow the BECU Cybersecurity skillset across the organization through knowledge based articles and other media to disseminate information.
  • Develop and maintain an information security vulnerability management program.
  • Assist cyber engineering team on various security related projects.
  • Act as a point of escalation for various cybersecurity alerts, scenarios, and situations that arise in the organization from cybersecurity tools, dashboards, or other systems used to protect the BECU network.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Systems or equivalent work or educational experience required.
  • Minimum four years of experience in information security required.
  • Sec+, Azure, ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing software, and networking certifications preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of current information security planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses required. 
  • Solid understanding of cloud and on-premises networking environments required.
  • Strong desire to learn new cybersecurity technologies and methodologies.
  • Intermediate skills in evaluating risk and communicating it in a fact-based manner.
  • Intermediate conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely including both written and verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
