Customer Contract Assistant

Grand Rapids, MI

As a Customer Contract Assistant, you will bring your expert eye for details to the table as you ensure accurate contracts are submitted and prepared for the customer. As part of the Spartan Nash sales team, you will be key to our success. 

We’ll look to you to maximize promotion contracts and business relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Still hungry for more? Don’t worry – you’ll have the opportunity to do more as you participate in other projects with the team!


A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • An Eye for Detail – You will be supporting the team by ensuring that customer promotion contracts are accurate and correct. You will timely upload the documents to the customer's system which may often require you to meet tight deadlines.
  • Data and Analytics – You will work internally with our deductions team to answer questions and resolve issues around promotions and deductions. You will work with reporting tools and data to help the sales team. Strong communication between our internal team and the customer will be key.
  • Collaboration – You will collaborate and partner with our internal account managers and external customers to communicate on category management, promotional trade, and data collection. 

Your Recipe for Success

  • High School diploma and related sales or finance experience.
  • Ability to receive, understand, and interpret data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • An eye for detail
