Cultivation Assistant

Aurora Valley is seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to join our team as a Cultivation Assistant. Main duties will be to help cultivate and harvest plants in both greenhouse and field environments. Our site is located in Westwold, British Columbia. This is a temporary position offering full-time hours starting August 1, ending late-October.

Main Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and harvest plants for the full life cycle
• Maintain plant health through pruning and transplanting
• Follow all set safety and regulatory standards
• Assess and help make improvements to plant areas as needed
• Contribute to overall site cleanliness and tidiness
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience or desire to work in an outdoor labour or farming environment
• Experience with plant life is an asset (greenhouse, landscaping, farming)
• Ability to work in environments with pollen and plant debris
• Ability to work in outdoor setting for long periods of time in varying temperatures
• Be a self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to work in a team environment to achieve overall goals
• Ability to comfortably and safely lift up to 30 lbs.
