Creative Operations Manager

New York, NY

The Creative Operations Manager handles all creative workflows and is responsible for partnering with a team of individuals, departments, and external partners across the organization to deliver excellent results for the brand and the business. 


As Creative Operations Manager, you will be tasked with managing creative project workflow from inception through completion. Reporting to our Sr. Director Marketing Strategy, you will serve as the liaison and project manager for all creative requests, asset management and archiving, production, and photo studio scheduling needs. As our Creative Operations Manager, you will not only play an integral role in the creative production process, but also hold a cross-functional position in which you'll work with various teams, including Senior Leadership.  


As Creative Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for orchestrating objectives through the project lifecycle. This includes managing schedules, communications, and deliverables for multiple campaign projects, either complex or small in scope. Through coordinating all workflow phases, schedule management and approvals from project initiation through delivery in-market, you’ll ensure projects meet or exceed expectations and are delivered on-time. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage day-to-day creative requests and projects, including, but not limited to, copy, photo, video, print and web assets. 
  • Develop and support processes to streamline creative development and production.  
  • Assign creative projects to the creative team (design, UX, photo and video). 
  • Coordinate, communicate, and own all timelines and deadlines to key stakeholders.  
  • Provide traffic support across all lanes for creative projects. 
  • Organize and maintain all creative assets, inventory, and requirements of all projects post-completion.  
  • Lead and manage several projects concurrently, clearly communicating schedules and expectations to teams and partners while ensuring all deadlines are met. 
  • Oversee all creative projects relating to product launches, website updates, emails and digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Serve as the lead contact for all internal and external stakeholders regarding project activities and establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Identify appropriate project strategies that match product and market goals. 
  • Contribute to creating THG Beauty’s processes with a focus on creative excellence. 
  • Have high visibility within the organization and provide regular updates to all project stakeholders, including executive team, on the status and progress of all projects. 
  • Maintain and manage studio. 
  • Communicate project schedules, meeting minutes, daily and/or weekly updates and any status information needed. 
  • Define key project constraints such as scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks and clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to team members on a regular basis. 
  • Liaise with functional managers or stakeholders as needed to ensure project goals are achieved and work with management to resolve resource gaps. 
  • Motivate cross-functional teams to work collaboratively and efficiently. 
  • Emulate brand values and maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics, and compliance. 
  • Ensure upfront project requirements are received and are aligned with the appropriate project priority and workflow.  
  • Partner with the Director, Brand Marketing for creative and production resource management. 
  • Create comprehensive project schedules that outline project milestones from initiation to in-market delivery that are based on scope, timing, deadlines, and resources.  
  • Capture milestone dates and overall timelines regularly, validating and adjusting timelines as needed.  
  • Maintain the DAM and brief portals as necessary.

Job requirements: 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a traffic or project management position at an agency, creative services firm, or related environment 
  • Proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills  
  • Proven experience in both business and creative communication  
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques 
  • Thrive working both independently, collaboratively, and cross-functionally  
  • Excel at managing multiple projects with conflicting priorities in a deadline-driven environment 
  • Appreciate all things in life being “signed, sealed and delivered” (on-time and within budget) 
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills 
  • Possess an insightful, intuitive, and analytical thought process 
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
