Creative Director

Billie is looking for a Creative Director of Brand to lead the overall creative vision for Billie and help deliver on our mission to champion womankind. In this role, you’ll ensure that we’re always putting forward work that portrays Billie as fresh, brave, unique, thoughtful and highly shareable.

We’re looking for someone with a wealth of experience developing breakthrough creative for culturally impactful brands, in-house or within an agency setting. If this sounds like you, read on!

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the long term direction and evolution of the Billie brand by articulating and developing a strong vision for Billie and its place in culture via thought leadership & best-in-class creative ideation
  • Own the full articulation of creative ideas and overarching presentation narrative, from idea write-ups through to specific executions, ensuring clarity, an exceptional level of craft and strong command of Billie’s brand ethos and tone
  • Generate, edit and refine creative ideas that are focused, clear and considered, across all channels (film, social, digital, OOH, audio, brand acts, partnerships, etc.)
  • Develop and deliver big conceptual ideas in service of our brand POV that feel fresh, brave, ownable and highly shareable
  • Oversee the development of highly effective campaigns for product & retail launches, with an eye to business objectives
  • Collaborate successfully with other brand team leads to seek, discuss, and integrate larger team feedback in service of elevating the overall output
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of strategy and feasibility for each project, including a grasp of budget and resourcing considerations
  • Proactively identify and present opportunities for creative ideas that will have a tangible impact on our brand & business goals
  • Manage, inspire, and develop internal and external creative talent
  • Help teams identify and pull together ideas in a cohesive and clear fashion 
  • Steer, filter, and provide actionable feedback on creative work to ensure it is reflective of the brief and our brand mission & vision
  • Set the bar for an exceptional caliber of output across all deliverables, helping the team live up to our high standards 
  • Efficiently and effectively prioritize the workload of our team to ensure we maximize our efforts

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of creative experience at an in-house brand or agency
  • A successful track record of developing groundbreaking campaigns via culturally relevant, insight-driven ideas
  • A passion to create empowering work that moves the needle for womankind (creating mini revolutions one campaign, one social post at a time)
  • A strong command of language, ideally via a copywriting background
  • An in-depth understanding of social media, pop culture and the cultural zeitgeist; by having an understanding of culture, you know what makes content engaging and how to drive action with our audience
  • A sensitivity to and understanding of the nuances of cultural identity and representation in media with a passion for crafting experiences that connect to human values 
  • A collaborative approach to ideation, brainstorming and partnering with other members of the Brand Team
  • A proven leader who exemplifies our value through their work and how they treat others
