Creative Design Sr. Manager

Goodlettsville, TN

Manages the execution of Dollar General design/branding programs which includes, but is not limited to: Annual Report, DGTV, Field Leadership events and app design, Golf Classic, Development and Training programs, Recruiting Advertisement, Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Resource Groups, DGme content and image editing. Key responsibilities include: developing production schedules, overall design work and project management, working cross-functionally to develop branded programs (including HR, Merchandising, Operations, IT, Finance, Corporate Events and Community Initiatives), managing agency relationships, art direction, ensuring compliance with Dollar General brand standards and managing design expenses to meet budget objectives.

 

  •  Manage and execute branded programs in support of organization initiatives and aligned with branding strategy.   - 25%
  •  Lead and manage all design and production logistics; calendar development, timelines and materials to ensure all internal and external partners are informed and projects remain on-track and on time.  - 25%
  •  Partner with internal functions for all necessary execution, program development and design implementation which includes graphic concept and design, photography, layout/design of graphic requests, proofing, etc. - 25%
  •  Conceptualize and design artwork for various employee communications (multimedia, digital display system, DGme, organization-wide initiative rollout, logo and brand design, media ads, enewsletters, photography) and external media to support recruiting ads, ERG programs, Investor Relations, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, etc. Serves as liaison between Corporate Communications and other departments to execute defined programs in accordance with brand standards (liaison includes Human Resources, IT, Finance, Corporate Events, Operations, Merchandising and Community Initiatives). - 25%

Qualifications

  • Expertise in content management, creative design, art design and production, including pre-press and print production methods and processes.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Strong art design skills, including illustrative and design capabilities with conceptual strengths.
  • Competent in both Apple and Microsoft formats, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) and Microsoft Suite. Basic knowledge of video editing software.
  • Knowledge of digital display system (Scala preferred) and HTML.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize, produce and manage multiple projects under short deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with internal DG departments, third-party agencies and service providers to deliver excellent work to meet business and budget objectives.

Bachelor or associate degree or 5 -10 years of experience in graphic concepting and design. Creative design experience is a plus.
