Creative Content Strategy Manager

The Content Marketing Strategy Manager works closely with our creative and marketing team to establish a strong tone of voice on the Shutterstock blogs through the creation of relevant content. Through new ideas and concepts about image design, photography and video production this role is crucial in creating valuable and shareable content for the Shutterstock community of customers and contributors. 


The content marketing manager maintains in-depth knowledge with Shutterstock image and video content and has the responsibility to facilitate the creation and publication of relevant marketing material on Shutterstock’s blogs, Youtube channels, landing pages.


Responsibilities:

  • Ideate, create concepts and creative briefs for freelance writers and creators based on market trends, internal analytics and SEO research
  • Coordinate and manage creative work with the team via a project management tool (Trello, Asana)
  • Manage a team of freelance editors and freelance contributors and support them with briefs and approve their pitch ideas
  • Work closely with internal marketing teams and support marketing initiatives via announcements, relevant content creation and publication
  • Research and write articles and announcements
  • Create engaging and relevant content helping drive customers down the purchase funnel
  • Collaborate with the creative team and support creative and PR initiatives
  • Gather actionable data about the current published content and research market trends, and create relevant content based on insights


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years within a content marketing team, solid experience in working with freelance creators
  • Exceptional writing and proofreading skills in English
  • Domain expertise and enthusiasm about design, photography, video making
  • Knowledge of the creative stock asset industry, content and digital media licensing
  • Understanding of digital media platforms, e-commerce marketplaces, social media platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Wordpress: Gutenberg editor, Web Stories
  • Advanced knowledge of Youtube studio: uploading, descriptions, publication, scheduling
  • Interest in worldwide design, creative, cultural and market trends
  • Excellent communicator with a natural ability to relate information and build briefs for creators
  • Ability to extract insights and ideas from analytics tools
  • Ability to perform keyword research
