Creative Content Editor

Los Angeles, CA

We are looking for an experienced and fast editor to join our growing team. The right fit for this role will be someone who has 6+ years of editing in branding/marketing/content. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast paced environment and who can consistently communicate with the creative content team members, freelancers and creative agencies. This employee will provide editorial of trailers and promos for the creative content team.


This is a hybrid role located in Los Angeles, California. 


Responsibilities:

  • Learn and become comfortable with our internal system.
  • Edit 2-4 trailers per month for Tubi Originals
  • Download and ingest clips and assets needed per project needs.
  • Properly organize project files to be easily navigated.
  • Be able to identify and accurately choose the proper clips based on project needs.
  • Communicate efficiently with Creative Director and Project Managers 


Deliverables + Tasks

  • Ownership of all stages of editorial projects, including sound design, finishing, communication with motion graphics and music teams, provide direction for voice-over search
  • Participate in creation and ideation for all AV assets: social, on-air and on-platform
  • Manage freelance editors with project briefs, oversight and direction
  • Provide constructive and insightful feedback on cuts from external agencies and internal editors.
  • Brainstorm new content ideas and stay current on industry trends
  • Offer copy suggestions for trailer and on-air promo scripts
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the Tubi creative content team and other project stakeholders 
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple concurrent projects
  • Must know how to edit compelling video content using Adobe Premiere and distribute that content accordingly cross-platform
  • Download and catalog requested video assets


Your Background:

  • 6+ year’s experience at an agency, studio or in-house working in AV
  • Exceptional editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro or other comparable programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Exceptional knowledge of editorial best practices, and the ability to apply that thinking to your own projects
  • Ability to work separately or as part of a creative team to create exceptional videos depending on project needs.
  • Able to work under pressure and under deadlines, with strong follow-through abilities.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to ingest notes and effectively apply those changes to your cuts.
  • Have a strong point of view as an editor and passion for high quality work
  • BFA in film, video production or equivalent work experience
  • Passionate fan of Movies & TV
