We are looking for an innovative and strategic thinker to join our team as Corporate Social Media Manager. In this role, you will be the visionary behind Avaya’s social media strategy, responsible for crafting and executing initiatives that elevate our brand and engage our global audience.
You will lead efforts to set ambitious goals, leverage data-driven insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our social media presence reflects our leadership in the industry. Your ability to communicate effectively, think creatively, and lead with purpose will be crucial to our success.
What you’ll do:
- Shape the vision: Develop and implement a forward-thinking social media strategy that aligns with Avaya’s business objectives and brand vision.
- Lead and inspire: Set goals and KPIs, driving innovation in our social media initiatives.
- Collaborate across marketing: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, communications, product, sales & partner enablement) to create cohesive and impactful messaging.
- Build strategic partnerships: Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to amplify our social media efforts.
- Create engaging narratives: Oversee a content calendar that delivers compelling, relevant, and thought-provoking content.
- Innovate continuously: Stay ahead of social media trends and introduce new approaches to enhance Avaya’s online presence.
- Analyze and adapt: Use data to measure success, report on key metrics, and refine strategies to improve performance.
How the position fits within the organization:
You’ll report into the Corporate Communications team, which includes global corporate communications, public relations, thought leadership and social media. Within our team, you will work closely with Avaya marketing teams such as Internal Communications, Sales and Partner Communications, Executive Communications, Public Relations and Influencer Relations, and our Solutions Marketing, Campaigns/Demand Gen and Events teams.
What makes you a great fit?
- Experience: 5-8 years in social media management, preferred organic and paid experience, with a proven track record of developing and executing innovative strategies.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field -OR- related years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence teams, driving alignment and achieving results.
- Strategic mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and effectively manage projects from conception to execution.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives and engaging diverse audiences.
- Creative and forward-thinking: A passion for innovation, a keen sense for storytelling, and the ability to bring fresh ideas to life.
- Technical proficiency: Knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meltwater), and content management systems. Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media advertising.
- Relationship builder: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with internal teams and external partners, fostering collaboration and driving success.
- Adaptable and solution-oriented: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and proactively seek solutions to challenges.
- Project management: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
Compensation
The pay range for this opportunity is from $94,100 to $127,100 + performance-related bonus + benefits
This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
