As part of PayPal’s Corporate Affairs organization, the Global Creative Strategy & Production team is responsible for developing always-on editorial content including thought leadership, customer features, trend stories and influencer content distributed across paid, earned and owned channels to position PayPal as a leading voice in the payments industry and drive awareness and interest in PayPal’s products and services as people manage and move their money personally and professionally. The Corporate Social Media and Influencer Manager will support the day-to-day execution of influencer and social media programming in the United States and help support global strategies working closely with the global communications team. This newly created role will report to the Senior Director & Head of Global Content Innovation, partnering cross-functionally with Global Communications, Integrated Marketing, Global Social, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Customer Service to execute influencer and social media programming flawlessly as One Team. The successful candidate will leverage a proactive can-do attitude, strong analytical and project management skills, and proven experience working with a range of influencers and content partners to drive awareness, understanding and interest in branded products and services.


Responsibilities:  

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of US influencer programs inclusive of agency and influencer management, influencer vetting, contracting, internal stakeholder engagement, timeline management, content approvals and reporting 
  • Generate content distribution strategies for owned, executive and influencer social channels  
  • Develop written materials including agency and influencer briefs, talking points, product fact sheets, influencer profiles, briefing books, content toolkits, content/editorial calendars and internal presentations 
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact and internal liaison for external agency partners through project, timeline, budget and operations management  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Corporate Affairs, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Customer Service to effectively vet influencer partners, coordinate content review/approvals and amplify influencer content through paid and owned channels to reach key target audiences  
  • Deliver regular campaign reports with comprehensive metrics and actionable insights to optimize performance of content and future campaigns   
  • Manage regular stakeholder meetings by setting agendas, ensuring written materials and content calendars are up to date, sharing meeting notes with next steps and action items and track follow ups to ensure the team is flawlessly executing  
  • Support global country communications leads through consistent resource, material and knowledge sharing to help localize and scale programming globally as relevant to the initiative or campaign 
  • Remain informed on industry-wide social media and influencer best practices and trends to proactively leverage across PayPal 

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience managing owned social and influencer programs for consumer technology and lifestyle brands  
  • A deep understanding of social media best practices, platforms and measurement. Previous experience working with social media measurement tools at or for an established global brand a plus 
  • Deep understanding of cross-channel influencer strategies and best practices inclusive of FTC compliance, paid amplification, measurement and earned media influencer engagements – celebrity experience preferred  
  • High proficiency in digital and social media, with experience analyzing and applying that knowledge successfully within a corporate context, in-house and agency experience a plus  
  • Superb communications skills, including writing, verbal and editing  
  • Proven ability to creatively problem-solve and achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines 
  • Strong project management skill set, very organized, attention to detail  
  • Passion for PayPal’s brand, and commitment to our vision of democratizing financial services 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, advertising, integrated marketing, or related field required
