Corporate Counsel Compliance

This role will partner with teams across Snowflake to build, enhance, and run a wide range of compliance policies and procedures. You will report to Snowflake’s Senior Corporate Counsel - Compliance and will be based in one of Snowflake’s McLean, VA, Dublin, CA, Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA or Bellevue, WA offices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help build, automate, operate, and monitor the effectiveness of critical compliance processes
  • Serve as an employee-facing point of contact supporting Snowflake’s corporate compliance policies related to anti-corruption, document retention, gifts and gratuities, and general compliance and ethics questions.
  • Manage Snowflake’s policy management system
  • Support Snowflake’s third-party diligence programs 
  • Help develop (or enhance) and manage Snowflake’s compliance training program
  • Partner closely with cross-functional compliance stakeholders to develop scalable, efficient, and enforceable compliance policies and procedures
  • Perform gap analyses to help ensure that Snowflake’s core compliance policies and operating standards are effective 
  • Partner with the Legal Operations and IT teams to automate and enhance compliance controls 


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • JD and admitted to at least one state bar
  • 3-6 years of legal experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel
  • 2+ years of specific compliance-related experience 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience developing compliance or anti-corruption programs
  • Previous in-house experience with a technology company preferred
  • Tech-savvy with ability to quickly learn and operate new systems 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attitude that no project is too big or too small 
  • Comfort working in an extremely (yes, extremely!) fast-paced environment
  • Sense of humor!
