Corporate Communications Specialist II

Reporting to the Corporate Communications department, this individual will be responsible for providing external communications support by anticipating, preparing for, and managing moderately complex corporate communications issues for one or more of the following functions: external communications, media relations, issues management, executive communications, multi-media, social media. 


This individual will help provide external communications support for Anthem’s Digital organization, helping position Anthem, Inc. as a digital-first organization and innovation leader dedicated to improving health. Knowledge in areas such as digital technologies, digital health, and health technology are a plus. 


Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Researches, develops and edits moderately complex communications materials. 
  • Supports the development and implementation of a strategic communications plan and related initiatives. 
  • May lead some assignments and workload and/or collaborate with communications colleagues and/or business partners. 


Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or a related field;
  • 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
