The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members.


This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.


We’re looking for a Corporate Communications Associate to join the Communications Team! 


What you will do:

  • Work across the Communications team, and most closely the Corporate Reputation team, to enhance Snap’s reputation and execute on our teamwide strategy.
  • Play a dynamic, central role with team-wide and cross-functional exposure through a combination of media relations activity and project management responsibilities, in particular around activities related to our policy, safety and other corporate reputation work.
  • Serve as the eyes and ears of the Comms team in monitoring competitive news and industry trends to inform strategic decisions, as well as identify important media moments. 
  • Be responsible for helping the team to work smarter, more efficiently and to stay organized.
  • Take the lead and manage external stakeholders on key projects regarding measurement of sentiment around the company, as well as ensuring the team is able to track and report key analytics on campaigns. 
  • Support drafting briefing materials and media messaging, maintaining media lists, compiling coverage reports, and performing media and competitive analysis.
  • Own team organizational documents, such as meeting agendas, strategy planning documents, project timelines amongst others.
  • Confidentiality around non-public announcements and projects.
  • Interacting with media and other outreach activities.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Understanding of the tech industry and related media landscape.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions to problems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and across different time zones.
  • Well organized and proactive.


Minimum qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant corporate communications role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $94,000-$141,000 annually.
  • Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$134,000 annually.
  • Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
