Lamb Weston is looking for a full time Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Communication team. We are looking for a strong writer that is passionate about effective communication and its ability to drive business outcomes.


The Corporate Communications Specialist will focus on internal communication, communicating projects and processes to our team members around the world. The individual should have a solid understanding of communication planning, audience segmentation, and be able to create effective messaging to support business priorities.


Job Description

  • Partnering with internal customers in the business to understand their communication needs and drafting communication plans in support of critical business objectives.
  • Developing and delivering communication materials using a variety of tactics (written and visual communication, printed materials, video, presentation materials, etc.) for a range of internal audiences around the world, including creating key messages and managing approvals from appropriate business partners.
  • Ensuring communication deliverables are implemented on time and on budget.
  • Organizing and actively managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing time-sensitive priorities.
  • Implementing new communication ideas and best practices to increase employee engagement, using data to understand communication effectiveness.
  • Creating materials in the appropriate communication vehicles, which include SharePoint content, PowerPoint presentations, e-mail communications, newsletters, printed materials, etc.
  • Understanding and effectively incorporating Lamb Weston’s brand and values into materials to help employees feel connected to the company and the way we work.
  • Effectively managing business relationships, establishing and maintaining the communication team’s value with key partners in the business. 
  • Planning and executing employee meetings and events.
  • Attending relevant meetings and maintaining relationships with key external and internal client groups.
  • Collaborate with the Communication Team to align overarching goals for communication effectiveness. Attend weekly and monthly team meetings to provide project updates.


Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, public relations or business administration required, along with a minimum of two years of corporate or agency communication experience strongly preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; including editing and proofreading.
  • Eye for brand standards and ability to ensure materials align to core brand guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience bringing a company brand to life through communication materials and company events.
  • Proven ability to create and execute communication plans (international experience preferred).
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, and work collaboratively with others.
  • A move-with-urgency mindset and the ability to actively manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing time-sensitive priorities.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with global partners.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Working knowledge of Teams, WebEx, desktop publishing platforms, and web-based communications. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or objective.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively interact with people at all job levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.

In compliance with applicable state and local laws, Lamb Weston has opted to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $57,380.00 - $86,080.00
