The Corporate Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger. This new role will work closely with the Director of Accounting and Controller in managing the month end closing process for all entities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the month end closing process for all entities. Prepares and reviews journal entries, account analyses, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Performs analytical review to identify potential accounting issues/errors
  • Ensure that assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses for area of responsibility are accurately reported, accounted, and reported in conformity with GAAP/IFRS and Company accounting policies.
  • Supervise day to day accounting operations which include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable 
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Examine financial records to verify details of recorded transactions.
  • Prepares monthly consolidation, including all elimination and consolidation adjustments, preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.
  • Responsible for consolidation and financial reporting for both internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Provides requested client assistance to external auditors.
  • Responsible for user maintenance of accounting and consolidation systems
  • Assist in ensuring all required insurances are obtained and implemented timely
  • Maintain records and reports necessary to comply with Company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes
  • Accounting Clean–up
  • Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls
  • Audit Preparation and Documentation
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and projects as needed


You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
  • At least 5 years of related accounting experience.
  • Experience with multi-entity and intercompany transactions
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred yet not required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and G-suite skills; ERP Experienced Preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of US GAAP and accounting practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and understanding of retail store operations and accounting transactions including point-of-sale systems preferred.
