Newell Brands is searching for a copywriter to join our Digital Content Team, charged with developing digital-first content for Newell’s stable of heritage-rich, iconic brands, including Graco, Baby Jogger, Crock-Pot, Calphalon, Rubbermaid, Marmot, Coleman, Sharpie, Elmer’s, and Yankee Candle, to name a few.

This role will work with our baby brands (Graco, Baby Jogger, Century, and NUK), so a history or strong interest in baby, family, and/or parenting brands is a plus. The right candidate for this role is comfortable working independently, can set their own priorities and multitask well, but is also a true collaborator and always open to learn. You must be adaptable and able to switch between voices as you navigate content across brands. You are a creative self-starter who is energized to learn and enjoy a fast-paced and flexible work environment. Experience in ecommerce is preferred. Our Hoboken waterfront office is located just steps from the PATH and New Jersey Transit, making it an easy commute from New York City or New Jersey. This role will begin with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule. 


  • Conceptualize, write, and edit e-commerce content—including product copy, Amazon A+ and WebCollage copy, emails, website content, paid social campaigns, video scripts and more
  • Refine and deliver on brand promise, tone, voice, and personality
  • Work closely with designers to align copy with visuals
  • Work with producers/project managers and other stakeholders to deliver copy in accordance with business needs and on deadline
  • Develop and pitch campaign ideas to internal partners for seasonal brand stories
  • Apply SEO best practices to deliver copy optimized by channel
  • Leverage web analytics, customer insights, and user feedback to optimize content impact
  • Adhere to internal, brand, and retailer style guides to maintain content standards

Key Qualifications:  

  • The successful candidate will be a proven team contributor with experience in retail,e-commerce, or CPG direct-to-consumer
  • A minimum 3 years of copywriting work experience (portfolio or writing samples requested)
  • Experience or strong personal interest in working with baby, family, and parenting brands a plus
  • Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a solution-oriented approach to challenges
  • Ability to operate independently given direction
  • Ability to work well with both speed and simplicity
  • Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies
  • Ability to adapt to various rounds of feedback from multiple stakeholders and pivot accordingly
  • Comfortable presenting in front of various audiences and selling creative
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously
  • BA in English or Creative Writing, or relevant work experience
