The Creative team is responsible for all creative work across toys and product design, product development, marketing, and photography. We don't take ourselves too seriously and love finding inspiration in unexpected places.
WHO WE’RE SNIFFIN’ FOR:
BARK is looking for a talented writer to help bring to life all kinds of marketing materials from paid social campaigns to email, collaborating with a small team of designers, writers and strategy leads. You must be someone who is brilliantly funny and isn’t scared of a fast-paced environment and is a lover of dogs.
KEY DUTIES:
- Conceptualize, pitch and revise compelling ad copy on the daily.
- Own the BARK brand in written form. We are storytellers for dogs and their people.
- Scope of work includes: digital advertising, website copy, customer relationship management, secret special projects, cool stuff for and about dogs. We’re a company of multi-taskers and jugglers - there will be surprises.
- Pet a variety of interesting dogs.
EXPERIENCE:
- We’re open-minded about your specific work experience, but you should be able to supply a portfolio of successful commercial writing.
- Experience writing words that make people click/tap/swipe to buy things.
- Ability to write jokes on demand. Because there will definitely be demands.
- Strong understanding of the basic principles of storytelling.
- An honest appreciation for open feedback, even negative feedback.
- Strong sense of brand voice, how to create and maintain it.
- Tendency to make the people in your life laugh. A lot.
- True love of both dogs and the internet. This position is a full-time position which requires 3 days in office per week. We offer health insurance for both you and your pup, 401k, wonderful team lunches, cold brew on tap, and a dog to pet anytime you wish.
FOR NJ/NY BASED APPLICANTS:
- The base salary range for the Copywriter position is $70,000- $110,000 contingent on level of experience
- This position is eligible for equity
This compensation range is based on BARK's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills, and expertise.
