Coordinator, Retail Marketing

Major League Baseball (MLB) is seeking to fill a Coordinator, Retail Marketing position in the Consumer Products/E-commerce/Retail Marketing Department. This person will be primarily responsible for supporting key and emerging MLB Retailers on their day-to-day MLB business with the overall goal of growing the MLB Consumer Products business.  

Location: NYC office



  • Touch base with key accounts on a re-occurring basis to identify opportunities, misses, sales, and marketing/event opportunities 
  • Prepare marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives to drive sales with set retail account base
  • Coordination, communication, and analysis of results (recaps, presentations, communication, budgets, invoices)
  • Assist on the day-to-day development and marketing management of the MLB NYC Store; help execute onsite events
  • Use brand knowledge, experience, and trends to ideate strategic activations and innovative in-store experiences to drive traffic and/or increase brand awareness
  • Shop other retail stores and compile competitive market analysis 
  • Be a support system for all projects and initiatives that are a result of the department
  • Provide administrative and other ad hoc support as needed
  • Role requires the flexibility to be available on nights and weekends throughout the year, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment


Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in retail environment, preferably in an omni-channel capacity, with an understanding of the retail landscape and acute awareness of its continuous evolution
  • Excel, PowerPoint (Google Sheets, Slides)
  • Strong attention to detail and solid multi-tasking ability 
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • Team player mindset 
  • Familiarity of and interest in the game of baseball and Major League Baseball Clubs
