What to Expect:

The Coordinator, Public Relations & Events is responsible for supporting Hudson's Bay’s Public Relations & Events strategy in Canada. This role reports to the Director, Public Relations.

What you will do:

  • Daily monitoring of press coverage and the creation of monthly press reports, project summaries, and event recaps
  • Assisting with reactive press requests through digital or in-store pulls
  • Coordinating  press mailers and seeding, including material sourcing, packaging, and distribution
  • Handling administrative duties, such as processing and tracking invoices, and inputting into the PR calendar
  • Building relationships with media representatives across all platforms (print, digital, broadcast, etc.)
  • Maintaining media lists
  • Support corporate communications tactics such as presentations and research
  • Support all aspects of events, from planning to logistics and execution.
  • Participate in social media creativity, with potential for posting and content creation

What you will bring to the team:

  • Must hold a degree or post-graduate certificate in Public Relations
  • No experience necessary, PR internship experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the Canadian media landscape
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (a writing test may be required)
  • Experience with Adobe Suite is an asset
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Adept at handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
