Coordinator, Music Programming

New York, NY

The Music Programming Coordinator will work with the music programming team handling various duties that will expand and strengthen Vevo's playlist and linear channel offerings on all connected TV partner platforms along with YouTube.


As a member of our team, you will:

  • Assist with managing day-to-day music programming, curating, scheduling and promo across all Vevo-based platforms, including TV apps, web/YouTube, and other off-YouTube platforms
  • Assist programmers with genre playlists, original content playlists, moods & themes playlists, of-the-moment/event playlists and video premieres
  • Assist record label reps with video promo duties for YouTube
  • Schedule music videos and other content in the system that arranges and delivers Vevo's content to various off-YouTube partners (connect TV)
  • Assist the Head Of Programming with day-to-day TV programming and curation, along with specialty playlists
  • Help manage all TV app homepage shelves by rotating, adding, and deleting its featured videos and playlists
  • Updating already-curated playlists
  • Creating and editing catalog-based and mood/themed playlists
  • Audit competitors and tastemaker connected TV platforms to identify emerging artists to proactively engage with
  • Help with various day-to-day functions for TV (linear channels and VOD)
  • Track and provide TV playlists and linear channels programming-related data
  • Help manage the video library for catalog programming
  • Assist with sponsored playlists and linear channel programming stunts
  • Create detailed wrap-up reports


This describes you:

  • Prior music industry internship-level experience
  • Genuine eye/ear for discovering new and emerging artists
  • Passion for today’s popular/relevant genres and culture 
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong desire to solve problems and learn new things
  • Entry-level music industry knowledge
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Knowledge of YouTube and Connected TV music video landscape 
  • Work as part of a team and independently on projects


Requirements:

  • BA in a music-related program
  • Desire to pursue a career in the music industry 
  • Available during normal work hours and off-hours when needed
  • Discretion and professionalism with colleagues 


This is a full-time position based on-site/in the office. Vevo will operate in a hybrid work model and will require employees to be in office 2-3 days a week, on average. To qualify for the role you will need to be currently located near the office that you will be based out of, as well as provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to employment.
