Coordinator Internal Communications

We are actively seeking an energetic, creative, detail-oriented, innovative Coordinator to join our Internal Communications team at Universal Studios Hollywood, with a focus on Social Media. The team’s core responsibility is to deliver informative, engaging, entertaining, and inspiring content to our Team Members (TMs), providing them with the information that impacts their day-to-day, motivates and supports their success and growth, and inspires and attracts new talent.


You will play a pivotal role on the team by assisting in the ideation, planning, and execution of our TM initiatives, with a focus on social media communications. This includes partnering with members across the organization to assist in supporting campaigns across the Park. You will work closely with the Director and Specialist to help drive impactful, consistent communications through our TM platforms, social channels for TMs, and our employer-branded LinkedIn page. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Ideate, develop, write, shoot, and edit compelling editorial content for use across various Internal Communications channels, with a focus on social media. Gather information from subject matter experts, attend and cover events, and create or capture imagery as needed. Video filming and editing experience for social is essential (50%)
  • Partner with the Director and Specialist to develop a robust editorial calendar that supports TM engagement campaigns and other identified content themes. (20%)
  • Partner with Marketing and the IP Team on support on large scale / IP-related campaigns (10%)
  • Monitor and benchmark relevant sites and social media communication channels (10%)
  • Serve as an internal ambassador, share best practices, and content guidelines with business partners. Perform other duties as assigned. (10%)

 

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent work experience is required.  
  • Minimum of 1 year experience within social media/marketing/communication role
  • Excellent presentation, written/verbal, and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Highly proficient in photo and video editing/creating; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Rush and/or Pro, After Effects is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of social media tools analytics tools

Additional Requirements:

  • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
