Cook - Production Operator
Cook operators must accurately weigh out all ingredients, prepare gelling agent, mix and combine ingredients, cook candy, pour candy onto sheet trays and load sheet trays into cabinet warmers.
Shifts:
AM shift 6 am -2:30 pm
PM Shift - 2 pm to 10:30pm
As Kiva's Cook Operator you will...
- Accurately weigh out all ingredients and prepare gelling agent
- Mix and combine ingredients,
- Cook and pour candy onto sheet trays,
- Load sheet trays into cabinet warmers, and clean their stations to repeat the process,
- Maintain accurate inventory of ingredients
- Responsible for cleaning their stations, the Kitchen, and all materials, tools, or appliances used during shift.

What we're looking for...
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous food manufacturing experience
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written.
- Ability to read, comprehend recipes and basic instructions such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math functions such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals is required.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions is required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
All team members MUST provide and wear their own safety compliant (slip-resistant, toe-protection, fall protection) shoes to each shift
Physical Requirements
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
