The Compliance Specialist will oversee the day-to-day functions of CA compliance and security and aid in the oversight of compliance across all territories.
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage department workflow tools.
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure product compliance seed-to-sale.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory agencies regarding livescans, ownership changes, inspections and other pertinent activities. Keep regulatory portals updated with accurate documentation.
- Manage day-to-day camera, alarm, badge, access control and security guard operations including working with vendors to address potential issues.
- Aid in state and local inspection preparation and participate as needed.
- At the direction of the Sr. Manager, Compliance, communicate regulatory rules or rule changes and ensure that they are documented through corporate policies and procedures.
- Assist with review of product promotional materials and labels for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents and recommend changes to company procedures to maintain compliance.
- Write or update standard operating procedures, work instructions or policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Aid Sr. Manager of Compliance in performing compliance gap analyses across all sites and work to create long term solutions including program development, team training and follow up to verify implementation.
- Ensure sites have up-to-date compliance binders including all relevant information needed per regulatory agencies.
- Test panic buttons and alarms at Sacramento sites. Ensure testing occurs on schedule at other sites.
- Aid Sr. Manager of Compliance in running the CA Safety Committee including scheduling, note taking and communication.
- Maintain accurate emergency contact lists with local PD, local FD, applicable regulatory agencies and security vendors.
- Complete City of Sacramento OCM notifications
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Work collectively and respectfully with other team members.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
What We Are Looking For
- Have a BA/BS Degree or 2-3 years’ experience in compliance management
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable state and local cannabis regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping

Compensation Description (Annually): The salary range for this position in the selected city is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
