Compliance Operations Analyst

The Mars Center of Legal Excellence invites applicants for a Compliance Operations Analyst to drive key operational components of the Mars Ethics & Compliance programs. 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned compliance professional with experience building and administering various core operational components of an ethics and compliance program, including overseeing attestation/verification processes, generating reports and other insights based innovative use of data analytics, supporting trainings, communications and other compliance-related engagements, and maintaining records, among other important tasks.

The position is an individual contributor and reports to the Senior Director, Center of Legal Excellence.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal operations, or a similar role, preferably in a corporate legal department environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve compliance management programs, including compliance testing, training, reporting, and driving efficiencies.
  • Experience with technologies used in this space, e.g., Navex, OneTrust, Third party due diligence tools, LMS training platforms
  • Experience with, and a keen interest in, data analytics and supporting tools, e.g., Power BI, etc.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and influence skills with multiple levels of business unit/senior management
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Training – assist in the design, development and administration of Ethics & Compliance curriculum, together with the administration of it (with Mars U). Maintain accurate records of other Legal Department-facilitated training.
  • Administration – Legal Holds, Ethics & Compliance Attestation Process, Navex helpline administration, shared mailbox administration, conflict of interest administration, third party screening administration and oversight
  • Data Analytics & Reporting – conduct programmatic and ad hoc reporting to business units and senior management including compliance testing reporting and key compliance data for risk management committees. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, issues, and resolutions.
  • Communications & Change Management – assist in designing and execution of communications for various audiences
  • Drive and/or support Compliance team projects, initiatives and process improvements as needed.
