Compensation Manager

Boston, MA

We are a commercial stage, privately held pharmaceutical company, based in the U.S. Currently, we have four medicines approved in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). We have also accelerated our investment in hard-to-treat cancers, with more than 50% of our research and development dedicated to delivering significant advances in areas of high unmet need that may truly move the needle for our patients. Our pipeline is promising with several Phase 3 assets in the Oncology space.   

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Total Rewards & HR Operations, the Compensation Manager will provide analytical, administration and technical support across all of our compensation programs. Applies knowledge, best practices, and applicable regulations to ensure the accuracy and market competitiveness of our programs. 


The Compensation Manager will play a key role in administering our compensation programs to ensure they align with our rewards strategy. The role will collaborate with HR Operations team members, HR Business Partners, finance colleagues, and external vendors.   

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Administer compensation programs including, but not limited to, base salary, short term incentives and long-term incentives. 
  • Prepare submissions for annual salary and practices surveys and provides analysis of the results to ensure our data is market competitive and current. 
  • Conduct job analysis and market pricing reviews. Produce pay recommendations. 
  • Assist in the implementation, administration and analysis of compensation programs, policies, and projects (e.g., annual merit, variable pay, etc.) 
  • Manages employee recognition program and vendor.  
  • Development of salary ranges, job codes, titles and leveling of positions. 
  • Administer annual merit, promotion and long-term incentive processes. 
  • Assists in developing & delivering compensation communication and education materials 
  • Review and evaluate employee salary data, perform job evaluations and analyze survey market data. 
  • Responsible for the compensation data maintained in the HRIS and responsible for auditing data into ADP HRIS to ensure data integrity and accuracy. 
  • Partners with HRIS vendor to improve the effectiveness and ensure the efficient use of the system. 
  • Assist in the creation of compensation tools and resources, including ad hoc projects and analyses using Excel and PowerPoint as needed. 
  • Assist in the development and updating of operating policies, guidelines, and procedures.  
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed 
  • Monitors compensation data, supports reviews of compensation data to ensure market competitiveness, alignment with corporate goals, and in compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements and laws. 
  • Administrators our compensation planning software and partners on the design. 


Education and Required Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with 5 years compensation experience. 
  • Compensation experience in a life sciences organization and/or working with the Radford database preferred. 
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Possess excellent organizational/time management skills 
  • Must be able to work with autonomy and in teams as necessary  
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information 
  • Excellent Excel experience.  
  • ADP WorkforceNow experience preferred. Experience with SAP desired. 
  • CCP or classes toward the certification preferred. 

 

Travel and Location 

  • Estimated travel: 0-10% 
  • This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 2-3 days per week in the Boston office (located in the Seaport).
