Compensation Manager
Clearwater, FL
Responsible for managing the overall compensation function within the Human Resources department. Includes analyzing, designing, and evaluating fixed and variable compensation plans to assure programs are current, compliant and aligned with business strategy to attract, retain and motivate employees. Manages the annual merit process, STI and LTI plans as well as the deferred compensation program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage compensation plans, government regulations and prevailing, market compensation to develop recommendations for competitive fixed and variable compensation plans
- Manage the preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of compensation policies, practices and guidelines
- Oversee the detailed job descriptions and classification systems as well as job levels and families, in partnership with other managers
- Manage the analytics process that summarizes the effectiveness and efficiency of compensation plans
- Approve calculation and payments of STI plans
- LTI and deferred compensation oversight
- Manages the data presented to the compensation committee and board members
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- CCP certification required
- 12+ years of equivalent work related experience
- 5+ years management experience
- 10+ years’ experience developing and administering compensation plans and conducting statistical analyses.
- 8+ years’ experience administering Long Term Incentive plans (LTI) and Deferred Compensation plans
