About The Position

*We have a preference for candidates to live in the NYC area, but we are open to a remote situation for the right candidate*

The Designer & Content Specialist is responsible for the creative work of the company, including:

·    Email campaigns (daily emails to subscription lists, visuals, digital assets, etc.)

·    Social media content (graphics, digital assets, etc.)

·    Brand and e-commerce websites (creation, updating, optimization, etc.)

·    Prints (brochures, sell sheets, menus, event invitations, etc.)

·    Branding (brand platform, brand guidelines, logo, etc.)

·    Merchandising (in-store displays, shelf talkers, promotional items, etc.)

·    Packaging (gift boxes, labels, bottles, etc.)

·    Advertising (international campaign adaptations, local campaigns, etc.)

·    Photography (retouching, packshots, work with photographers, etc.)

·    Video (editing, work with videographers, etc.)

·    Day-to-day design and creative support to company managers 

 

By leading our creative projects, the Designer & Content Specialist plays a key role in the successful implementation of marketing and communication plans of our 5 brands: The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (www.smwsa.com), Lejay Cassis (www.lejay-cassis.com), Chapel Down English Sparkling Wine (www.chapeldownusa.com), Hakkaisan Sake (www.hakkaisanusa.com) and DS Champagne (www.ds-champagne.com).

 

The role is ideally based in New York, but a remote location may be considered.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 

●   A motivated self-starter who can work both on a team and independently in a high-paced, hands-on entrepreneurial environment

●   Experience in website development, email marketing, branding, illustration, printing, merchandising, photography, video and social media

●   Excellent oral and written communication skills

●   Excellent organizational and project management skills

●   Ability to generate out of the box marketing ideas

●   Interest in spirits and wine is a plus

●   Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

●   Proficiency with HTML and CSS.

●   Basic experience with web publishing platforms (e.g. Squarespace, Craft), e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify/BigCommerce) and email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Klaviyo) or a willingness to learn

●   Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
